first day of my 26th year. lots of rain and mental-panic and mud and sadness and planetary movements. possibly all related. like a bad hangover but I didn’t even drink the night before. remembering to breath.

I don’t know if it’s the coffee, the awesome early morning spent at “CreativeMornings” with Jacob Krupnick discussing Girl Walk // All Day, the chocolate croissant, an awesome morning work-out, anticipation of seeing great friends tonight, all these classes I’m creating, this crazy helmet my dad suggested I purchase, or MY NEW BIKE (more deets/photoshoot later)!!!!!

but I AM dancin-in-the-shower FEELIN GREAT TODAY!!!!!

Why the re-branding?

Well, for one, my official stay at the Bonar Family Residency (the South Florida Main Headquarters Location) has completed. Of course the current residents of the Delray Beach Location are still creating art and building community wherever they go (in fact I got a text last night about some chaos involving cardboard boats in the pool? Guys, be respectful of the neighbors when making art, ok?). But for now I am not participating in that specific residency.

The experience and concept I am creating with this new blog brand, “I FEEL GREAT TODAY” encompasses similar themes from the Bonar Family Residency — making art in your everyday life, having everyday experiences be artistic expressions and opportunities for people to connect and create together.

I intend this blog to be a resource for people everywhere to get to know me and this type of socially engaged art work, and even be inspired themselves to try out new conversations, new interactions, new nail polish creations, new outfit inspirations: being inspired to be fully self expressed in their lives and in their communities, being leaders creating exactly what you want to see in the world.

I am committed that artists are valued in their communities as people who contribute services that are crucial to our daily living and experience of feeling great.

I am committed that you as the fabulous blog reader you are get to experience going through the artistic and community building process with me, and that we grow together! Please use this blog as a place to share with me what you are creating in your own communities and what amazing great things show up from you being a sparkling leader in your life.

this blog is about feeling great today, not tomorrow when you have your life figured out or the next day when you have that dream Natalie Portman girlfriend, but now! even when you are not feeling so great today.

24 years of galloping

Today was my 24th birthday!!! this is going to be a great great year. especially because 24 is an even number.

Tonight I had an amazing celebration with a conglomeration of high school, TMLP, seminar, middle school and coworker friends tonight — totally fun having everyone in one place, driving from as far as Miami and Orlando to come celebrate (despite the FREEZING temperatures and outside location…).

I’m looking forward to a New York celebration tomorrow night including Hampshire, Elsewhere, Casis (Elementary!!), and C3 friends!!! (wow)

I AM SO THANKFUL and excited (and really just awed) to have so many beautiful delightful inspiring empowering people in my life in so many places. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS SUCH A GREAT YEAR!!

I like my birthday being at this time of year because my new year’s resolutions/goals are very much in line with my birthday goals/resolutions. I guess I didn’t share around New Years, so here are a few things I am creating in 2011/my 25th year:

• creative empowering forwarding job(s) that support me financially and are inspiring and igniting.
• empowering everyone around me pursuing and moving forward their passions and whatever they are committed to.
• a big scale multi-month collaborative project that is way out of my comfort zone
• moving somewhere new and establishing my own community there.
• an amazing gorgeous empowering creative boyfriend
• becoming financially independent
• keeping in touch with friends from all over
• developing the IFEELGREATTODAY brand: creating new fashions I love to wear and sell
• a totally delicious strong body I love and feel super-woman-esque inside of
• being courageous, looking people in the eye, saying things straight, being confident and self assured and a magical force.
